Our new DF175AP engine is equipped with a revolutionary "hands-free" start system: a coded contactless key transmits an access code to the engine start system. When the contactless key is within one meter of the main unit, simply power on the system, insert the kill cord, and start the engine by pressing a single button. Upon return to the dock, just turn off the engine and power down the system.
The DF175AP is the first 175HP (129kW) outboard on the market equipped with an electronic control system (Suzuki Precision Control) and Suzuki’s selective rotation system (Suzuki Selective Rotation), allowing configuration of the engine for normal or counter rotation through a specially designed mechanism located in the lower unit (the gearcase), along with an innovative electronic gear shift system.
