Combining Lean Burn technology, a semi-direct air intake, and a high-performance compression ratio of 10.2 to 1, this new outboard is both economical, powerful, and clean. Compared to its predecessor, the DF175A is 14% more fuel-efficient.
With more torque (2.7% more), combined with the offset gear case with 2-stage reduction, this new engine delivers more power across the entire RPM range. Even on heavier or more loaded boats, the DF175A takes performance to the next level.
The DF175A now shares the same block as the famous DF200A. Large displacement and precision engineering offer better acceleration at low and mid-range RPM. This meets our customers' desires for high performance combined with fuel efficiency.
These new outboards benefit from proven technologies used on Suzuki's "Ultimate" 4-stroke engines, ensuring year after year even greater reliability. A knock sensor preserves engine smoothness to improve its lifespan. An oxygen sensor enhances the efficiency of the block, and the Suzuki water detection system protects the engine from the effects of poor combustion, stalling, and corrosion.
