Sport Range - DF115BTGL
The new Suzuki outboard engine, the DF115B, benefits from improvements that further enhance its overall performance. The compression ratio has been increased to 10.6/1, allowing this outboard engine of over 2 liters to improve its top speed and achieve better acceleration while optimizing thermal efficiency.
Fuel efficiency has also been improved compared to the well-known DF115A model. Tests have shown a 5 to 6% improvement in fuel consumption for the DF115B over a range of medium to high speeds.
The new cowling features a special air intake that optimizes water separation while reducing the intake air temperature, which enables higher power delivery at mid-range speeds. A resonator system further reduces engine noise at all speeds.
The new direct ignition reduces the number of parts and wiring, which allows for better spark generation and improves combustion efficiency.
The main difference compared to its "big brother" DF140B is that it achieves its power over a wider and lower RPM range.
